Celebrating International Day of Cooperatives 2023 - 30 June-2 July
To mark International Day of Cooperatives 2023 on 1 July, Hackney Council and local coop support organisation Hackney Cooperative Developments have joined forces to put on a weekend of events from Friday 30 June to Sunday 2 July celebrating the huge role cooperatives and social enterprises play in creating a fairer borough both for employees and the community.
The activities are a chance for Hackney’s coops to network and collaborate, for local organisations to hear about how becoming a cooperative can benefit their business and their workers, and for the public to find out more about some fantastic ethical enterprises right on their doorstep.
This year’s International Day of Cooperatives theme is Cooperatives Build a Better World – and we’ll be showcasing just how right here in Hackney.
