From knitwear to handmade ceramics and excellent restaurants, Hackney's small businesses have been the stars of the festive season. It's been fantastic to see so many local businesses getting involved in the 'Love Hackney, Shop Local' campaign, which includes an online directory and sharing special offers through features on the Council's social media channels and publications.

Over 20 businesses have been featured on the campaign in the lead up to the peak of the festive season.

Beyond Christmas, the campaign will continue to share exciting offers and promote Hackney's diverse and passionate local businesses as they grapple with an increased cost of doing business. Businesses can still sign up on the Love Hackney Shop Local website.

The Love Hackney Shop Local campaign is one the ways that the Council is taking action to support local businesses, alongside funding support events, holding dedicated engagement workshops and lobbying the government for more business support.
